CODE OF CONDUCT
We expect all attendees to feel welcome, safe and included.
CaveCon Code of Conduct
CaveCon is a small, friendly, community‑focused convention. To keep it safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, all attendees, volunteers, guests, and organisers are expected to follow the Code of Conduct below.
Respect & Behaviour
Treat fellow attendees, staff, and venue employees with courtesy and respect.
Harassment, discrimination, or targeted behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
Aggressive behaviour, shouting, intimidation, or disruption of games or events may result in removal from the convention.
In‑Game Content & Comfort
Some games include horror, tension, or uncomfortable themes. In particular with sysytems like Call of Cthulhu, assume mature content.
Choose sessions appropriate for your comfort level.
Triggers and content warnings may not be stated on games listing as they can constitute spoilers. If you would like to know more about any specific session’s content please contact us and ask.
If you feel unsafe or distressed during a game, inform your DM or an organiser immediately — you can leave any session at any time.
Alcohol & Venue Conduct
CaveCon takes place in a working pub. Drinking is allowed.
Excessive drunkenness, unsafe behaviour, or becoming a nuisance to others will result in removal from the event.
Respect the venue, its staff, and its property at all times.
Cave Sessions
The caves are a unique environment; please follow staff guidance at all times.
Unsafe behaviour (running, climbing, interfering with lighting or equipment) is not permitted.
You may leave the caves at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
Photography & Recording
Casual photography is welcome.
Please avoid flash during games and respect players who prefer not to be photographed.
No audio or video recording of sessions without explicit permission from the DM and all players.
Health & Safety
Follow all instructions from organisers and venue staff.
Report any hazards, spills, or issues immediately.
If you feel unwell, take a break or speak to staff — we’re here to help.
Tickets & Attendance
Respect booking limits and session start times.
If you cannot attend a session you’ve booked, please release your seat so others may enjoy it.
See the FAQs for our refund policy.
Zero‑Tolerance Policies
CaveCon reserves the right to remove any attendee who:
Harasses others
Acts in a threatening or unsafe manner
Damages venue property
Repeatedly disrupts games or events
Is too intoxicated to participate safely
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
If there are any aspects you feel are not covered here that you would like to know more about in advance, please contact us and ask.
